A simple mixed media primer launched the fall quarter of my first year. Tasking fresh drafting hands with collage, professors posed the following question to first-year students: "how can a drawing produce legibility in the process of its composition?" The above drawing is arranged from printed photos of various structures and objects near the CAED's Building 5. In the process, these components were supplemented by construction lines to reflect the X-Acto manipulations which tore them apart. Altogether "Amnesiac" reflects an imprecise start to a tectonic education that would be marked by timidity throughout its earliest stages, it was enough to engage my curiosity in the capacity for architectural ideas to be expressed through multimedia proxies.
